A hike through ethnic minority villages, passing by terraced rice fields and rolling mountains will give you a chance to get insights of local cultures and immerse in the natural beauty.
Sapa offers 3 trekking levels which are suitable for any travelers:
• Easy trekking: An easy trekking route will normally take you to ethnic villages nearby Sapa Town, which will give you a brief understanding of local culture. For those who are tight in time or not familiar with hiking, this is a wise choice. You can spend a half day to a full day for an easy trek.
• Medium trekking: The route for medium trekking in Sapa is quite similar to the easy one, but lasts longer. This will lead you to off the beaten paths which are not easy to access by car or motorbike.
• Hard trekking: The hardest trekking trail is absolutely the trek to the top of Fansipan peak. It is only recommended for experienced hikers becaused of requiring specific skills and good physical health. For easy to medium treks, you can go by yourself without a tour guide. However, you need go along with a local guide or porter, who know deeply about the places to avoid getting lost, for hard treks. Normally, you will need 3 days hiking to complete the trek but it depends on what trail you take.
Trekking Lao Chai, Ta Van offers you spectacular cloud-shrouded mountain scenery and the chance to walk through traditional hill tribe villages and their surrounding rice paddies. The trek initially follows a small track, cross the Muong Hoa River and pass well-tended rice terraces and the spread-out homes of Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. Here you will learn how the rice is cultivated, life of ethnic minorities such as Black Hmong, Zay, Red Dao.
Cat Cat is an old village of Black H’mong people which is famous for its brocade weaving craft as well as its gold and silver jewelry making. The walk to the village and its nearby hills provides an opportunity to see farms and techniques used by the people in the area. Hiking up to the mountain, you will reach Sin Chai – a village of Red Dao people, which offers many wonderful sceneries. Walking through the village, tourists are mostly accompanied by the local children. They are probably not well-educated but still extremely hospitable and enthusiastic. More than that, you will also have chance to take pleasure flowers as peach blossom, plum blossom, gladiolus, pear blossom, rose… if coming here in the spring.
Coming to Y Linh Ho Village, visitors will surely be taken aback by the amazing, incredible views of the terraced fields and corn fields. As a main source of living, the fields here are taken care of very well by the local people. Therefore, the padding fields are always really luxuriant, especially in the harvest season. During the harvest period, the village always welcomes loads of visitors, who come to admire the beauty of nature, and to capture unique photos of the ripe crops, find out authentic daily life of local Hmong ethnics.

DAY 1 : HANOI - SAPA - CAT CAT VILLAGE ( -/ L / D )
06h00 - 6h30: Our bus picks you up at the your hotel to depart for Sapa. After 05 hours on the highway, the bus will take you to Sapa12h30 : Arrive to Sapa town. You go to the hotel, check-in procedures for the group at the hotel and have lunch at the restaurant
14h30: Tour guide and you walk to visit Cat Cat village, start the journey to discover the village Visit Cat Cat village of the H'mong. Visitors will be able to
visit and learn about the customs and habits of ethnic minorities. Visit Cat Cat waterfall and hydroelectric power plant built by the French in the early twentieth century, have fun and take souvenir photos…
18h30: Enjoy dinner at the restaurant, then you are free to explore Sapa
DAY 2 : TREKKING - SAPA - Y LINH HO - LAO CHAI - TA VAN (B / L /D)
07h00 - 08h00 : Having breakfast at the restaurant08h00 - Trekking to Y Linh Ho village and then start hiking through the rice terraces along Muong Hoa Stream to Lao Chai, the village of Black H’mong
minority. Here you will enjoy the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son mountain ranges.
12h30: Have lunch at Ta Van village then check in and rest
Afternoon: The tour guide will take you to visit the villages of the local people with terraced fields and streams
16h00: Come back to homstay to rest, then prepare to learn how to cooking class with the locals. You can prepare and cook dishes
18h30: You enjoy dinner with dishes made by yourself
Overnight at homestay in Ta Van village.
DAY 3: TA VAN - GIANG TA CHAI VILLAGE - SUPAN - SAPA - HANOI ( B / L )
07h00 - 08h00: Have breakfast at Homestay Giang Ta Chai Village and Supan Village will be 2 places that we will visit in the morning of the 2nd day. We have to walk 8 km to visit these 2 villages of Red Dao. Giang Ta Chai is one of the villages of Red Dao. It has become one of the attractive places for travelers who want to experience the colorful traditions and customs12h00: Enjoy lunch then rest at the homestay
14h00: Car pick you up back to Sapa
15h30: You get on the bus back to Hanoi
20h30: Arrive in Hanoi, End tour
